Overview
You have the right to delete your account at any time. This page explains what happens when you delete your Osaka Nightlife Network account, what data is removed, what data is retained, and how to initiate the deletion process. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
What Happens When You Delete Your Account
When you delete your account, the following occurs: your profile is immediately removed from the Platform and is no longer visible to other members; your authentication credentials are invalidated; your membership (if active) is cancelled; your event RSVPs are removed; your group memberships are terminated; and your messages become inaccessible. Your account cannot be recovered after deletion.
Data Retention After Deletion
Most of your personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion. Certain data may be retained for longer periods as required by law or for legitimate business purposes, including: transaction records (7 years for tax compliance), records of policy violations or reports (for safety and legal protection), and anonymized statistical data that can no longer identify you.
How to Request Account Deletion
To delete your account, go to Account Settings and select 'Delete My Account.' You will be asked to confirm your password, review the consequences of deletion, and provide final confirmation. The deletion process begins immediately after confirmation. If you have an active membership, it will be cancelled but dues already paid are non-refundable.
Data Recovery
Before deleting your account, we recommend downloading a copy of your data using the 'Download My Data' feature in Account Settings. Once your account is deleted, your data cannot be recovered. If you change your mind within 30 days, contact us immediately, but we cannot guarantee recovery. After 30 days, all deletions are permanent and irreversible.
Changes to This Account Deletion Policy
We reserve the right to update or modify this document at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the revised version on the Platform. We will update the 'Last Updated' date indicated above. Your continued use of the Platform following the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated document.
